Stud wall framing and first-fix joinery on a renovation project

Joinery

First-fix carpentry through to the final trims.

Joinery covers a wide range of work on a typical renovation - from the timber stud walls and door linings that shape a room, through to the skirting, architrave and fitted furniture that finish it off. Getting the first-fix carpentry square and level makes every trade that follows easier, from plastering to fitting doors.

We build stud partition walls, hang doors, fit skirting boards and architrave, and build fitted wardrobes and storage to suit awkward spaces - a common need in period terraces with box rooms, chimney breasts and sloped loft ceilings. We also handle staircase repairs and general carpentry repairs as part of wider renovation work.

Most of our joinery work is carried out as part of a kitchen install, full renovation or loft conversion, but we're happy to quote standalone joinery jobs too.

Joinery FAQs

Common questions about joinery work.

Can you build wardrobes into awkward spaces, like under a sloped ceiling?

Yes - fitting bespoke storage into awkward spaces such as loft eaves, chimney breasts and box rooms is common work for us, particularly in period terraced housing.

Do you fit internal doors as well as build stud walls?

Yes, door hanging and ironmongery fitting are part of our standard joinery work, alongside stud walls, skirting and architrave.
